Our Tips
At Lynx British Shorthair, we are committed to setting our kittens and their families up for lifelong success.
Below are our trusted recommendations to help you
provide the very best care.
Diet & Nutrition
Our kittens are raised on a balanced diet of high-quality wet and dry food, including Royal Canin, alongside fresh meals where appropriate. Dry biscuits are available at all times, with fresh water always accessible.
We recommend maintaining a consistent, high-quality diet to support optimal growth, coat condition, and overall health.

Litter Training
We recommend using Oz-Pet Litter, a premium pellet based system that is hygienic, low odour, and highly effective for indoor cats. All of our kittens are raised using this system, making the transition into your home seamless.

PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease)
PKD is a hereditary condition that can affect some breeds, including British Shorthairs. At Lynx, all breeding cats are DNA tested to ensure they are clear of PKD, giving you peace of mind.
We strongly encourage all owners to familiarise themselves with this condition.
